Regulations of the XXI International Sports Film Festival «KRASNOGORSKI»

  1. The International Film Festival «KRASNOGORSKI» is held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Moscow region, the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, the Olympic Committee of Russia, the Ministries of Culture and Sports of the Moscow region, the Administration of the city of Krasnogorsk.
  2. Objectives of the festival:
    • support of sports cinema, formation of its high socio-cultural status both in Russia and in the international arena, exchange of experience between cinematographers from different countries;
    • popularization of sports culture, dissemination of knowledge about the world of sports and its moral values;
    • demonstration of sports films for the purpose of education, training and development of mass physical culture, development of international relations in the field of popularization of sports and a healthy lifestyle.
  3. The competition program of the festival includes national sports films, as well as films about sports of foreign production and/or films produced in accordance with international treaties of the Russian Federation jointly with producers who are foreign citizens, stateless persons, foreign legal entities), created not earlier than two years the year before the festival (2021-2023). Participation in the competition is free.
  4. Categories of films accepted for the competition:
    • full-length game tapes lasting more than 60 minutes;
    • documentaries over 30 minutes;
    • TV movies;
    • TV series;
    • short films: feature films — up to 60 minutes and documentaries — up to 30 minutes;
    • animated films.
  5. The films created in the original language are accompanied by installation sheets in English or Russian. Films that use obscene language, violent footage and erotic videos are not allowed to participate.
  6. Set of documents for participation:
    • APPLICATION FOR PARTICIPATION signed by one of the managers of the presenting company and stamped (if any);
    • BIOGRAPHY OF THE DIRECTOR (text file in Word format);
    • DIRECTOR’S PHOTO (jpeg, tiff files, resolution not less than 300 dpi);
    • VIDEO MATERIALS AND STILLS (specify in the file name: the name of the movie, the country).
    • RENTAL CERTIFICATE (if available).
  7. The procedure for submitting applications for the competition:
    • create an archived folder with a set of documents for each job, assigning the folder a name with the name of the job and the country;
    • upload the folder to the file sharing site and send the link to the e-mail: sportfilmsfest@gmail.com , indicating in the subject of the letter the name of the work and the country.
    • Applications are accepted until September 15, 2023.
  8. The owners of the films consent to the use of materials related to their films in the program and catalog of the festival, on its website and in promotions. The festival has the right to show the film or excerpts from it (no more than five times) before, during or after the festival events for non-commercial purposes.
  9. All costs of sending video materials to the Festival, insurance and transportation are borne by the sender. The Organizing Committee assumes the responsibility for the insurance of films accepted for the Festival and their storage.
  10. The festival Management reserves the right to exclude a particular work from the competition if it does not correspond to the content, artistic qualities or technical parameters, the regulations of the festival.
  11. An International Expert Council consisting of at least five people is being created to determine the winners of the festival. The prize-winning films are determined in the following categories:
    • Debut
    • The best hero
    • Strong in spirit
    • Best Director
    • Best Documentary
    • Best Feature Film
    • Best Cinematography
    • Best Animated Film
    • Best Short Film
    • Olympic values
    • Special Jury Prize
    • Audience Award
    • Grand Prix
    • In each nomination, the festival’s signature prize is awarded – a statuette. All participants of the festival receive diplomas.
  12. The conditions of stay of official guests are stipulated in their personal invitations. Any organizations and persons wishing to participate in the festival as guests must notify the Directorate of their intention and agree on the terms of participation. The costs of travel, accommodation and meals are borne by the organizations and individuals themselves
